New Elliott 7s design launched by RNZYS

The new Elliott 7 metre design for The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron was unveiled this week when the new fleet of 10 Elliott 7s was launched at the RNZYS. The new Elliott 7s is to be used by the squadron's elite Youth Training Programme. The inaugural fleet was Elliott 5.9 which was replaced after 10 years with the Elliott 6 metre. The new 7 metre yachts are capable of taking four crew and will provide more of a keelboat experience than the smaller boats. The boats were built in Auckland by Yachting Developments, masts and rigging supplied by Southern Spars and sails by Doyle Sails. More pics at www.sail-world.com
