Kotick a beautiful, custom designed and New Zealand built offshore cruising yacht launched in 1997. Kotick is a yacht with exceptional performance and structural integrity. The original commission was for a live aboard yacht that was sturdy, and would cross oceans quickly, and one that could be easily handled by two people. Kotick has been consistently well maintained and updated is now offered for sale by her second owner, with a full inventory and in excellent condition.

Kotick achieves great sailing performance of 200 to 220 nautical miles per day. Original owners James & Griselda McGougan sailed Kotick from New Zealand to Malta where they arrived in 2004. They continued to cruise the Med with Malta as their base. In 2008 she was sold to her current owner who has sailed for 5 months every year in distant and exotic places in both South America and the Atlantic.
Built in New Zealand by Custom Yachts, Kotick is composite construction with epoxy laminates over timber and foam cores. Extra laminates are applied in critical areas. Solid structure and bulkheads are bonded to the hull and deck. Kotick has been exceptionally well maintained by both her owners. A brief of maintenance schedule is available on request.
The cockpit provides great shelter from the elements and has a comfortable seating arrangement for lounging in. There is voluminous, easy access cockpit storage. The majority of sailing control lines lead to the cockpit which enables Kotick to be sailed by one/two people.
Just a small step down from the cockpit, the interior features a spacious saloon with large galley, dinette and nav station and expansive views to the outdoors. There are berths for up to six people, the configuration includes forward private cabin with double berth, hanging locker and ample storage. Walk aft to another private cabin that sleeps three, moving aft again to a single berth by the passageway. There is a private bathroom with head and shower oppposite.
Kotick comes with an extensive inventory of recent and well serviced equipment. Maintenance work undertaken in 2018 includes; annual engine and generator maintenance, sail wardrobe revised, interior joinery varnished, anti-foul and polishing, replace rudder bearings and rollers.
